Domus Clodia is a mansion built in the Venetian times. It belongs to the Chatziparaschos family, who is famous for the pastry fyllo they make in the old traditional way. Respecting its rich history, the Domus Clodia has been carefully renovated, retaining most of its original elements in materials and construction. Thus a beautiful mansion with 3 bedrooms,3 bathrooms, and a terrace with views of the Old Town and the Fortezza fortress was created to offer each one of you a sneak peek at the past.

Room overview

Domus Clodia consists of 3 different levels. Entering the property, one meets the hospitable dining table with the comfortable yet traditional-style sofa which is suitable for family meals around the table. The first room on the left-hand side there is the cozy and stylish, fully equipped kitchen with all the necessary amenities to prepare delicious retreats. On the same side of the ground floor, there is the first out of 3 full bathrooms. In the ground floor bathroom, there is also the washing machine.

A wonderful decorative touch in the space of the ground floor is Grandma's spinning wheel with the red thread, like the famous Ariadne's thread (Mitos of Ariadne). This unique decorative element was preserved and carefully restored to give our guests a hint of our local history.

Going up the first wooden stair, there is the first bedroom with the high ceiling and the queen size bed and its en-suite bathroom. Spacious, lightful, and elegant are just a few of the words that can describe it.
On the same floor, one meets also the living room with the large, corner sofa, which - if required - can accommodate two more guests.
Continuing the exploration, there is a semi-private study area with a desk for guests who would like to combine business with pleasure (work with vacation). Behind the desk, the small wooden stair leads up to the coziest nest, the small attic with the double bed and the discreet skylight.

The third bedroom is on the second and last floor of this wonderfully restored property, which is located in the heart of the Old Town. There, our guests enjoy a restful sleep in the two single beds which are combined together and create a large queen size bed. This bedroom has also its own en-suite full bathroom and a large wooden closet. But the feature that distinguishes this room is its direct access to the wonderful roof terrace with a view of the unique monument of our Venetian castle, the famous Fortezza.
